I have mixed feelings about this product. It is very sturdy, in all I think it weighs more than the TV I mounted. With TV installed the swivel and tilt work very well, the articulation mechanism is smooth and it is solidly attached to the wall. My issue is really with the quality control. They have this clever little slide attachment rigged with gears that ensures your TV will be ed on the mount. On mine the gears on one of the four was not properly aligned. After two hours it finally took some wood clamps, a rubber mallet and some luck to get it to work. If I was not so handy and in this case lucky I would have been SOL. Some guys recommend using longer screws, if you do make sure they are of a stronger grade or you might twist the heads off. Also and this is my fault, the product is actually grey not black, I assumed it was just a bad picture. And one more thing, on a 16 inch on wall you only have about 2-3 inches of adjustment for the mount, after that you are going to need to use the articulation mechanism to your TV where you want it.
Update: I've used this for over two weeks now. My comments stand but I really think it deserves 4 stars not three. Just can't change the initial rating.

I generally agree will all of the other reviews so far, and I am pleased now that the TV is finally on the wall. As with at least one other reviewer, I found the installation instructions to be very poor in some areas.
I substituted 3 inch 5/16" lag screws for the shorter ones that are supplied. I just didn't like giving up 1/2 inch to drywall and another 1/2 inch to the massive washers. Recommend you do likewise if mounting to studs.
The plate that the TV frame mounts on was incorrectly attached upside down at the factory. I considered removing and reattaching it, but that looked like more work than it would be worth. The issue is that the plate has two holes and two slots, but the slots were on the bottom. That meant that the TV frame could not simply be hung by the upper screws in the slots prior to tightening. Consequently, my helper and I had a few tense minutes with one of us holding the TV while the other worked at inserting the screws. Not fun. If I had to do it again, I'd have a third helper to hold the TV. Hopefully yours will be assembled correctly at the factory so that you don't need to balance the TV when attaching it!
Mounted on the wall, it's a good product.

Got this mount in only 3 days. Put it together although the instructions were a little lacking. I got it for my 40 inch samsung lcd and I think it was a little bit of overkill but better safe than sorry. This mount is very sturdy. I hit my head on it 2 times while installing and it didn't even shake. It is very adjustable. It's great.

This is an awesome arm. I used it to mount a 50" Sony and it works great. I can swing the TV all the way out with very little sag. Highly reccomended.

This mount is very strong. I mounted a 42' LCD with no problem. There were some minor issues though. The mount had some cracked plastic on the back of the arms. It had nothing to do with the support of the mount though. Also, most of the concrete/brick anchors were broken when I received it. I wasn't mounting in concrete or brink, so I didn't care. The bubble level didn't have any fluid in it either. I was thinking about returning it, but I didn't want to go through the hassle. The mount is very heavy, and I didn't want to bring it somewhere to ship it. Over all, I'm very happy with the product. The mount says it can hold 180 pounds, so I hung from it. It didn't rip out of the wall, so I figured it could handle my 50 pound TV. This mount is very sturdy! I would have given it 5 stars, but I had some issues with some of the parts.
